Open Studio

Open Studio is a space to work at your own pace in an inspiring and well-equipped professional environment. You meet other creatives and inspire each other. It is a blissful way to work on your own trajectory.

Anyone who has some experience is welcome at the open studio of Gaëlle Ceramica, from semi-advanced to professional ceramists.

THE CONCEPT

Who

For throwers who have a solid foundation and can work independently (You have already taken at least a few workshops and know how to work on the wheel -throwing, trimming & glazing).

For more advanced throwers and professionals who want to work on their personal projects.

Don't have any experience yet? Then we recommend that you first follow a series of lessons or an intensive 5-day throwing week.

Our open studio space is fully equipped with quality materials.

The first time you'll get a hands-on tour and we'll be happy to go over the house rules together.

How to reserve a spot

You can choose from a one–time session, a 5-turn card, a 10-turn card or a 20-turn card.

A turn card or session is valid for 1 year and is in your name.

After purchasing the turn card, you book within the available moments of the studio. There is no limit in the number of times you book per week.

Once you purchase a turn card, you get access to the reservation system

When

Mornings from 10 AM until 13PM

Afternoons from 2PM until 5PM except for Fridays.

Firing fees

Firing fees are not included and are charged per kilo. Firing fees are paid the moment you take home your pieces.
Bisque firing: € 7/kg – Glaze firing: € 10/kg

What’s included

3 hours per session
1 bag of white stoneware clay (15kg)
dipping glazes
all tools for throwing, trimming and glazing

What’s not included

Bisque and glaze firings
An apron and towel (free use of apron is subject of availability)
Drinks
fresh bag of clay: 10 Euro/ 15kg.

We really want to give you the best experience possible, that’s why we will be attentive to freshly thrown pieces and pack them at the appropriate time so they can be trimmed smoothly when you get back into the studio (within a month’s time). A service that makes a difference!
